Accessibility

Accessibility statement

Mason & Co IT Consultancy LTD wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies. Accessibility is considered as part of the way the site is designed, written and maintained.

Accessibility approach

The aim is to align the website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA where reasonably practicable. This is an ongoing commitment rather than a one-off exercise.

Work undertaken across the website includes:

  • using a consistent heading structure and readable page layouts;
  • supporting keyboard navigation for the main menus, links, buttons, tabs and forms;
  • providing visible focus states for interactive controls;
  • using sufficient colour contrast and avoiding reliance on colour alone;
  • providing text alternatives for meaningful images;
  • using descriptive link text and clearly labelled form fields;
  • supporting browser zoom and responsive layouts across desktop, tablet and mobile; and
  • writing content in clear, direct language wherever possible.

Known limitations

Some interactive hotspot diagrams may not currently offer the same experience to keyboard-only users. Equivalent information is provided within the surrounding page content, and an accessible alternative can be supplied on request.

Some third-party services, embedded forms, chat tools, documents or external platforms are provided by other organisations. Mason & Co works to configure these responsibly but cannot always control every aspect of their accessibility.

Need information in another format?

If you need website information in an alternative format, or need help completing an online form, email info@masonitc.co.uk. Please explain what you need and the preferred format. Mason & Co will respond as soon as reasonably possible.

Reporting an accessibility problem

If you find an accessibility issue that is not listed above, email info@masonitc.co.uk with the page address, a description of the problem and, where helpful, the browser or assistive technology being used.

Review and improvement

Accessibility is reviewed when new pages, components and services are introduced and when existing content is materially changed. Identified problems are prioritised according to their effect on users.
